With more options for natural household cleaners on the market than ever, how do you choose the right brand? Instead of overpaying for more cleaning solutions than you need, opt for the OG natural cleaner: white vinegar.

Made from acetic acid, white vinegar is powerful enough to kill bacteria and destroy mildew, mineral deposit, grease, and dirt. Buy one bottle and try these five cleaning hacks. Your wallet will thank you.

Clean the Floors

Ditch your single-use, floor-swifting sheets. Fill a bucket with hot water and one cup of white vinegar to make a homemade solution that penetrates grime and eradicates stickiness on your floors. Opt for a reusable mop or saturate a Skoy SK108 Dishcloth in the solution and attach it to your Swiffer mop head. Once those floors are shimmering, rinse off your cloth and store it between uses for a reusable mopping option.

Soften Your Sheets and Towels

What you do with your sheets and towels is your business. To keep your business soft, pour one cup of white vinegar into your washer’s detergent compartment (after your detergent). This will help keep your sheets and towels fluffy, mildew-free, and odorless.

Clean Produce

Don’t even think about paying for that bottle of $7 produce rinse when you can make it at home. In a large bowl, add water and a half cup of white vinegar before submerging your fruits or veggies. Use your clean hands to give them a good rub and swish, then let soak for 10-15 minutes before draining and drying. The vinegar helps remove surface dirt, natural waxes, and residues on fresh produce.

Get Rid of Hard Water Stains

If your local water has high mineral deposits, it may leave behind some chalky white stains in your shower, mirrors, and glass. To get rid of these eyesores, take an empty spray bottle and fill it halfway with filtered water. Add 2 tablespoons of dish soap and about one-fourth cup of white vinegar. Shake the spray bottle before spraying generously on the dirty surfaces and let sit for about 20 seconds. Next, take a Skoy Scrub and use circular motions to clean the surface. Follow up with a quick rinse with water and dry with a microfiber cloth like the Skoy Towel for a spotless finish!

Cleanse the Kitchen Sink

White vinegar and baking soda are the star duo for unclogging and eliminating odors from your kitchen sink. First, pour about one cup of baking soda down your drain, followed by two cups of white vinegar, and watch the bubbly reaction! Boil some water and pour it down once the reaction subsides. Run your garbage disposal and voila! So fresh and so clean.

Natural cleaning products don’t have to break the bank. Significantly cut back on spending by subbing white vinegar for overpriced multipurpose cleaners.
